High Point Market Timeline Wall Display: Project Spotlight

Heritage Signs & Displays recently installed a custom timeline wall display for Sherrill Furniture in High Point, NC to prepare for the High Point Market on October 22 – October 26. The goal of the timeline display was to highlight the history of Sherrill Furniture as an American-made furniture manufacturer, from its humble origins in Mebane, NC to its current home in Hickory, NC.

One of the biggest spring and fall events in High Point, NC, the High Point Market is a massive exhibition for the furniture industry that abounds with networking opportunities, seminars, showrooms, and furniture products. Sherrill Furniture is one of many local North Carolina furniture manufacturers seeking to be noticed by and stand apart from their peers at this prestigious event, so a custom event display that highlighted the rich history of the company in a visually captivating way was requested in time for the city-wide convention. Heritage Signs & Displays created and installed a timeline display with a multitude of signage elements to make a custom display unlike that of the other furniture companies at the High Point Market.

The Sherrill Furniture timeline wall display consisted of several signage elements to highlight the history of this local furniture manufacturer, such as square cut acrylic, dimensional lettering for important dates and events, and standoff mounted signage to add three-dimensional depth to Sherrill Furniture’s history and important personnel that have shaped the company since 1880. The result was a timeline display intended to represent Sherrill Furniture in an engaging, immersive way in time for the High Point Market.

Gaston College Project Spotlight

Heritage Signs & Displays recently installed new storefront signs, wall wraps, and window graphics at the Gaston College student store known as the Rhino Shop, located on their main campus in Dallas, NC.

Gaston College contacted the team of custom sign experts at Heritage Signs & Displays to provide new storefront signs, wall wraps, and window graphics for the Rhino Shop, the student store on Gaston College’s Dallas Campus. Gaston College sought the services of the Heritage team due to their decades of experience branding educational facilities with interior graphics and custom signs. Heritage was more than happy to put their expertise to good use for the benefit of a leading local educational facility.

Rebranding the Rhino Shop required materials that would be suitable for the job and enduring sunlight and outdoor weather conditions over time. The adhesive vinyl graphics that ultimately comprised the Rhino Shop’s new storefront graphics were printed at Heritage Signs & Displays’ production facility in Charlotte, NC, using a wide format printer. The window graphics were created from 3M 40C adhesive final that was latex printed, matte laminated, and rectangularly fit to the left and right windows of the Rhino Shop. In addition, a pole banner was UV printed and rectangle cut with pole pockets on the top and bottom for hanging adjacent to the Rhino Shop entryway.

The vinyl was laminated, and rectangle cut, as was the Duravinyl graphics that were installed to the Rhino Shop’s rear wall. The intention was to reflect Gaston College’s trademark rhino mascot and campus colors while also adding life and personality to the student store’s interior with eye-catching, high-quality point of purchase displays.

Goodwill Industries Of Southern Piedmont Project Spotlight

Heritage Signs & Displays recently collaborated with the team at Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont to transform their new store location on Wendover Road in Charlotte, NC. This initiative included producing and installing a wide variety of signs and graphics including installing point of purchase displays, frosted vinyl, and window graphics for the sliding entryway doors and interior glass. We also installed storefront signs throughout the main showroom space, and an eye-catching vinyl wall wrap celebrating Goodwill’s positive impact on the Charlotte community.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont: Leading the Way for Doing Good

Southern Piedmon

First opening as an independent Goodwill affiliate agency in 1965, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is a leader in providing the greater Charlotte region with workforce development and employment. The organization has provided employment services to over 150,000 people in the state and supplies repurposed and donated clothing and many other goods. This marks the nonprofit’s 29th store in the greater Charlotte region and fourth new store this year. This comes as the organization has boldly announced plans to open 25 new stores in the next 5 years across the Charlotte area.

The communications department reached out to Heritage Signs & Displays to partner on the interior branding and signage for Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont’s new store location on Wendover Road. The goal for the new signs and graphics was to highlight Goodwill’s connection to the Charlotte community as well as ensure that the facility’s interior reflect this independent branch of Goodwill’s history of service and to make it customer-facing and appealing. After discussing the scope of the project and the installation parameters, the Heritage team got to work to make the interior branding come to life.

The Right Materials for an Interior Rebrand

The Right Materials for an Interior Rebrand

The Heritage team created several captivating pieces of interior signage to achieve Goodwill’s new branding initiative. For the point of purchase displays, intended to hang on the clothing racks, the signs were UV printed from 6mm white PVC and were rectangle cut with corner holes for hanging. Storefront signs bearing Goodwill’s three Rs (Reuse, Rewear, Repurpose) were fabricated from 1/2” white Ultraboard, UV printed, cut to shape, and installed using .75” brushed aluminum standoffs. An additional sign illustrating Goodwill’s commitments to career services, community, donations, and funds was made from the same materials.

The Right Materials for an Interior Rebrand

On the week of the installation, the Heritage team worked diligently to pro-actively install the signage throughout the new retail space. An adhesive frosted vinyl piece bearing the Goodwill logo was affixed to the sliding doors of the Goodwill entrance to add style and brand identity upon entering the space. Point of purchase displays were affixed to the clothing racks and new custom signs were hung above the rest of the displays.

The Right Materials for an Interior Rebrand

In the back of the facility, a wall wrap was installed to shed light on Goodwill Institute of Southern Piedmont’s continual mission to connect goods, jobs, opportunities, and community to Charlotte. Once the installation was complete, The Goodwill Institute of Southern Piedmont team were proud of the results of the interior branding project. The new graphics reflect the non-profit organization’s goals to achieve visual appeal for customers and the new localized signage connected the Goodwill brand to the Charlotte community.
