The Sixteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office, under the leadership of Solicitor Kevin Bracket, prosecutes criminal offenses in York and Union Counties of South Carolina. The Solicitor’s Office inside Moss Justice Center is home to some of the region’s finest prosecutors and support team members who aid victims of crimes and provide pre-trial and diversion programs to help offenders become positive contributors in the community.

After team members from the Solicitor’s Office visited the York County Sheriff’s Office and were awestruck by the custom timeline wall display, they were directed to connect with Heritage Signs & Displays to explore visually transforming their own office space in York, South Carolina. The collaboration between the organizations took off and through creative project management and design, the Heritage team produced outstanding end results that reflected the organization’s impactful history and core tradition of community service.

The custom signs, graphics, and displays created and installed by the talented Heritage Signs & Displays team concentrated around four sections of the facility: The “Making Good Choices” Wall, Career Achievements Wall, Memorial Wall, and Marvin R. Brown Award Wall. These one-of-a-kind displays were created using a combination of elements that highlighted the accomplishments of the Sixteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

“Making Good Choices” Calendar Art Contest Winners

The “Making Good Choices” Calendar Art Contest Winners display features the winners of the contest, which was established in 2008 by the juvenile division of the 16th Circuit Solicitor’s Office to prevent drug use, alcohol abuse, and violence in young people. The display was made from smooth matte adhesive vinyl wall wrap, dimensional lettering Mojave wall wrap, dimensional lettering made from 6mm brushed silver, and 28 swappable picture panels on magnetic acrylic holders. These elements allowed for the display to endure over time and be continually updated as new contest winners are announced in the future.

Career Achievements

The Career Achievements display highlights the decades of loyal service of the staff members of the York County Solicitor’s Office. The custom wall display was made from a vinyl wall wrap with dimensional brushed silver lettering and brushed silver plaques securely affixed to the wall. Additional space was left on the display for future featured career achievers to be added in the future.

Memorial Wall

The Memorial Wall was created out of brushed silver dimensional lettering and 2nd surface ¼” thick printed acrylic to one of the interior walls to honor distinguished staff members who have passed away. The display features portraits of five staff members with the words “No longer by our side, forever in our hearts” installed above their portraits to honor their memory.

Marvin R. Brown Award Wall

A new custom interior sign highlighting the prestigious Marvin R. Brown Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement was fabricated and installed in the Moss Justice Center’s interior. The display was created from a background wall wrap, brushed silver dimensional lettering, standoff mounted acrylic, and acrylic-printed photos featuring Marvin Brown and an empty space for the current year recipient to be added later.

Timeline Wall Display

In another section of the Moss Justice Center’s interior, Heritage installed a timeline wall display that highlighted important events and incidents in the history of the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The Heritage team constructed the timeline wall display using additional acrylic standoff elements that highlighted local headlines of notable crimes and other events in York County.

The resulting collage highlighted the York County Sheriff’s Office’s role in keeping the peace and the timeline of cases that have occurred in the area.

The Results of the Installation

After the completion of the new custom displays in the Moss Justice Center, a representative from the York County Solicitor’s Office said, “The installations look amazing! Everyone is so pleased with how they look. Truly. I am in awe of your work and your team. I can’t say enough wonderful things about you all. Heritage Signs & Displays recently transformed the interior of the Inter-American Defense College in Washington, DC with impactful wall wraps and standoff mounted signs as part of an immersive timeline wall display. This revitalized interior highlights the college’s accomplishments over the years, the potential for future growth, and the college’s core values that have guided it since its founding in 1962.

The goal for this major interior design project was to brand the Inter-American Defense College with the important milestones in the college’s history and values.

The installation site was conducted inside the college’s hallways. The Heritage team printed and installed adhesive vinyl wall wraps measuring 150” x 103”, UV printed and rectangular cut, and installed them on the walls to highlight the college’s values and achievements. The wraps created an immersive interior space that added visual appeal to the hallways.

Standoff mounts were applied to the walls, creating depth with approximately 2” of space between the plaques and the walls. The plaques were 15” x 15”, made of wood, backed with vinyl, and mounted to 6mm white ACM and square cut.

The front panels of the plaques were second surface printed onto 3mm clear acrylic, square cut to 13”x13” and installed with backer using 1/2” brushed gold standoffs.

Additional elements such as dimensional lettering were installed to showcase the college’s purpose, mission, vision, core values, and history. A laser cut replica of North America and South America was installed to reflect the Inter-American Defense College’s commitment to diversity and intercontinental cooperation.

After the installation was finished, the staff at the Inter-American Defense College was thrilled with the results of the Heritage team’s work. The interior space was made more immersive and the organization’s core values were made a part of an amplified, branded space.

Heritage Signs & Displays recently partnered in the transformation of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont’s Opportunity Campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Opportunity Campus houses the Career & Employment Center, which recently underwent a major renovation to create a contemporary space with state-of-the-art technology and immersive experiential design that better serves as an effective and engaging learning environment.

This project aimed to amplify the organization’s public-facing workforce service areas with a cohesive workplace reminiscent of today’s workplace environment that reflects the core values and brand guidelines of the nonprofit. The Heritage team of signage professionals collaborated closely with the creative team at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont to ensure that their brand was positively reflected and their space’s interior branding was brought to life through wall wraps, custom wall displays, core value walls, frosted vinyl, and a lenticular wall display.

One of the standout features of the transformed Career & Employment Center interior was the lenticular wall display that was installed in the entry corridor. The lenticular sign was created with blue dimensionally oriented fins bearing the message “The Future Is Bright.” The color blocks on the wall were angled in such a way as to point toward the training room. The completed lenticular displays created a captivating three-dimensional inspiration wall that draws audiences into the grand interior environment.

A feature of the lenticular wall display included standoff-mounted plaques of testimonials from Goodwill participants who benefited from the nonprofit’s workforce development training.

The acrylic signs were securely mounted to the walls of the space, providing a three-dimensional depth of the lenticular sign and highlighting the strides individuals have made through Goodwill University, Goodwill’s job training division.

Several testimonials were affixed to the walls in frames, along with adhesive vinyl wall wraps utilized for core value walls, maintaining brand consistency while reflecting the values of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont.

Wayfinding signs were installed in a key corner location in the hallway to better guide visitors around the campus, including the Career & Employment Center, Family Stability Services, GoodWork Staffing, Goodwill University, and other facilities.

The talented signage team installed a wall wrap featuring the Goodwill logo against one of the office walls and frosted vinyl adhered to the interior office glass wall system.

Inside one of the Training Rooms was a custom wall display that included a multitude of elements, including wall wraps and a custom-cut sign showing the store locations of Goodwill of the Southern Piedmont throughout the Charlotte metro area and surrounding counties within the region, in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

The sign installation team at Heritage Signs & Displays adhered to time-honed procedures for effective sign installations, communicating with Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont’s Project Manager and Visual Design Manager to make sure that this custom-cut sign and the other signage elements were expertly installed to fit the existing space and reflect the nonprofit values while enhancing the visual impact of the space.
