Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays is Recognized for 40 Years of Printing.

Waldorf, Maryland March 12, 2018 Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays were recognized by Maryland Department of Commerce for 40 years of operation in the Southern Maryland community.

Steve Gass, General Manager Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays in Maryland, received the certificate and provided a tour of the renovated facility. The group included:

  • Mike Gill, Secretary, Maryland Department of Commerce
  • Brady Walker, Managing Director and Special Advisor., Maryland Department of Commerce
  • Steve Wall, Southern Maryland Regional Manager, Office of Business Development

The Secretary of Commerce for Maryland was visiting companies in the Southern Maryland area that have been exhibiting successful growth and expansion in the marketplace. He was extremely impressed with Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays workforce development, the deployment of technology and the vibrancy of the facilities.

The goal is to develop an ongoing partnership with the state of Maryland to establish industry specific training programs for current and future employees of the company that will make the workforce more efficient and effective.

Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays started in 1977 in the Gass’s family garage in Leonardtown, Maryland, by parents Allen and Margaret as Gass Printing Service. Allen taught his three sons, Joe, Steve, and Dean, the printing ropes, and the business slowly took over the house until the company finally moved the still very small business to its first commercial location in 1984 in their hometown.

In the past three and a half years, Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays has seen significant growth, with wide and grand format being a big part of it. During this time Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays has begun to market “Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays” as a division of their company, while seeing this part of the business grow to more than 40 percent of their company’s revenue.
