Greensboro, NC March 24, 2018, Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays won the prestigious PICA Gutenberg Award for Most Best of Category at the 2017 Printing Industry of the Carolinas, “A Celebration of Print” awards banquet. Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays won 30 Best of Category awards with a variety of commercial print and wide format printing entries.
The award is in recognition of Johannes Gutenberg, a German printer and publisher who introduced printing to Europe with the printing press in 1439. His introduction of mechanical movable type printing started the Printing Revolution and is regarded as a milestone of the second millennium, ushering in the modern period of human history.

Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays started in 1977 in the Gass family garage in Leonardtown, Maryland, by parents Allen and Margaret as Gass Printing Service. Allen taught his three sons, Joe, Steve, and Dean, the printing trade.
Today, Heritage Printing, Signs & Displays is a full-service commercial printing and custom sign company, with production facilities in Charlotte, NC and Waldorf, Maryland, and capabilities to produce a wide variety of publications and direct mail using digital and offset printing technology, as well as UV curable and latex printing of displays, event signage and custom interior wall coverings.
